Smith Tainter House – Menomonie, WI

Project details:

Parrett manufactured historically accurate double hung curved sash/glass double hung & fixed units for the UW-Stout Louis Smith Tainter House located on the hillside of Lake Menomin in Menomonie, WI.

Given as a wedding gift in 1890, the Louis Smith Tainter House now serves as a welcoming point for visitors to UW-Stout. Lumber baron Captain Andrew Tainter built the 3-story mansion as a gift to their son Louis and his wife Effie. The home was designed by Harvey Ellis, an architect known for his 19th century influence on Midwestern architecture.

Parrett’s Old World Craftsmanship helped preserve this National Historic Landmark by providing historically accurate windows built to specification. Quality craftsmanship will provide years of beauty and protection.
